At Destin Fishing Charters, we often get asked how long of a trip is recommended. It varies for each group but usually a 6 hour trip is the favorite trip company wide. Usually, more hours gets you further out into the gulf. The further out you fish, the larger the fish tend to be. Our 10 and 12 hour trips are great to get further out for larger sized fish.  If you would like to do a combination of trolling and bottom fishing, 8 hours or longer would be what you would want.
